Written in the Law and the Prophets

Today’s Scripture reading is Acts 24:14-16.

Verse 14, "...believing all things which are written in the law and the prophets:"

It would appear that the Apostle Paul is being criticized for believing the Word of God.  I remember hearing over and over that the Bible does not contain the Word of God; however, the Bible is the Word of God!  It did not take long for the Devil to challenge the Word of God.  Genesis 3:1,"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?"  Not much has changed since the Garden of Eden.  Satan continues to lead people to question the Word of God.  When we question God's Word, we are on our way to defeat and destruction.  God's Word is still and always will be settled in Heaven.  The Word of God is true from beginning to end.  As followers of Jesus Christ, let us strive to trust and obey God's Word more now than ever before.
