Our Scripture reading today is John 9:4, "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work."
We have an example in the Lord Jesus of someone Who worked for His Father. Jesus only had so much time on Earth and He was determined to do all He could while He was there. The Worker is “a well-earned title to the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the worker, the chief worker, and the example to all workers.” (Spurgeon)
Every day that we have is a new opportunity to live for and bring glory to the Lord. We cannot get any of our days back that we have already lived. It is important that we see people through the eyes of our Saviour. While it is day, we still have opportunities to point others to the Lord Jesus and encourage those who already have been saved.
