Our Scripture reading today is Acts 1:6-8.
Verse 8, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
It remains the responsibility of every born again believer. It will always be our duty and privilege to tell others how God's love changed our life. In fact, God's love changed our life immediately as well as for all eternity. We had a front row seat to the transformation that took place when we said yes to Jesus Christ. Of all the testimonies we could give, God's love is what we are to be telling to a lost and dying world. Do the people closest to you know that you are a follower of Jesus Christ? This could include family, co-workers and friends.
God has allowed certain people into our lives because we have something that they need to hear. We have heard God's Word and received His gift of salvation and they need it too. Maybe you have heard something like this, "You are the only Bible some people will ever read." There is much truth to this statement. The Word of God should be so much a part of our life that our witness always comes back to the Bible or a Bible principle. It will not be our testimony that is powerful, but our witness with God's Word that will bring a changed life. God's Word is what changed our lives and will change the lives of those we influence.
Have a wonderful Canada Day!
