Our Scripture reading today is Malachi 3:6, "For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed."
One of the attributes of God that should greatly encourage us is what Malachi writes about in this one verse. The LORD never changes. We can say that everything else around us changes over time and that includes you and me. Thankfully, God's love for us does not change based on how our behaviour changes. His love is consistent and faithful. Knowing this should lead us to love and obey Him more. 1 John 4:19, "We love him, because he first loved us."
Hebrews 13:8, "Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."
