Our Scripture reading today is 1 Corinthians 4:10-13.
Verse 11, "Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;"
The life of the Christian can be filled with challenging times. There is no such thing as easy street for the true follower of Jesus Christ. On what appears to be our strongest day, we are still very weak and in great need. We are most definitely dependent on our Heavenly Father to be our daily supply.
Philippians 4:19, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
John 14:2-3, "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
While it may be difficult to process now, we are guaranteed a dwelling place with the Lord for all eternity! This far outweighs any temporal abode on this earth. The great need of today is looking beyond this life and seeing what God has promised. He is faithful.
