Our Scripture reading today is 1 Corinthians 3:9-11.
 
Verse 11, "For other foundation can no man lay that that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."
 
I reminded of a verse of a song we used to sing in Sunday school.  "Build your life on the Lord Jesus Christ and the blessings will come down.  The blessings will come down as the prayers go up."  The Christian life begins with a Person, the Lord Jesus Christ.  He is our Rock (foundation).  He is the chief corner stone.  Ephesians 2:20, "And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;"  There is no other foundation that leads us to eternal life in Heaven.  Acts 4:12, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."  Today, multiplied millions and millions of lost people are building their spiritual lives on tradition and deception.  They need to hear the truth of God's love.  Jesus Christ will always be the way, the truth, and the life.  1 Peter 2:6, "Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded."  The Christian life continues day by day on the same foundation it started on. Let's be thankful today for our Rock!
