Our Scripture reading today is 1 Timothy 2:1-4.
Verse 1, "I exhort therefore, that, first of all..."
The statement, "first of all", highlights the priority of prayer. Before we do anything else, we should pray for others. The most important prayer request is for people to be saved. (Verse 4) Whether you have prayed for that unsaved family member for one week or ten years, keep praying for them to be saved. Preaching the Gospel to them is important but it should follow a season of prayer. There are numerous other people referenced in this text that need prayer. We need to place a higher priority on prayer everyday
1 Thessalonians 5:17, "Pray without ceasing."
