Good Thanksgiving Morning,
Our Scripture reading today is 1 Timothy 6:10, "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
A good part of the problems in our world today can be traced back to the love of money. It causes all of us to make decisions contrary to what God would have us do. The Apostle Paul says it is the "root" of everything that is evil. He does not say some evil but all evil. If we dug down deep enough, we would find the love of money.
We are to love God with all of our heart. mind, soul and strength. The love we should have for God will keep us from loving money. Be thankful and content with what God has given you and it will help you to avoid loving the riches of this world.
