Our Scripture reading today is Exodus 35:30-33.
Verse 31, "And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;"
We read in this passage of Scripture about a man whom God gifted to be a blessing and help to others. Bezaleel was also willing to teach others in what he was skilled at doing. God was forming a team to build the Tabernacle. It started with one man who was willing to use his God given abilities to teach and train others.
This truth is not just for the OT days of Tabernacle building. There is a great need today in the local NT church for God's people to surrender their God given abilities to His service and for His glory. I am quite confident there is no church that has too many servants. Most, if not all churches, are praying for more help.
One of the keys in surrendering to the Lord can be found in the next chapter and verse 2. "And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it:" Their heart was stirred up. There was a desire to live for the eternal. I have learned over the years that this cannot be taught. As we surrender to the will of God everyday, our hearts will be stirred to live for Him!
