Our Scripture reading today is Joshua 1:8, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."
Success or failure in the Christian life are determined by what we do with the Word of God. Are we reading it daily? Are we meditating on what we read? If we are reading and meditating on God's Word, it will lead us to obeying what we read. Obedience to the Scriptures is the goal. Obedience brings blessings into our life. We are not guaranteed an easy life just because we read the Bible. We are, however, equipped to manage the challenges and difficulties that come into our life. It has everything we need for a prosperous and successful Christian life.
