Our Scripture reading today is Luke 12:8-9.

Verse 8, "Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:"

Most every day that we live, God gives us opportunities to speak of Him before our fellow man.  It may be just a quick meeting when we are paying for something at the store.  It could be a little longer meeting with someone in the break room at lunch.  Will we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and speak a word of truth or will we cave in to the fear of man and not say anything relating to the things of the Lord?

I am sure we all struggle with a lack of boldness from time to time.  I am sure we struggle with the thought of how we will be viewed when we speak of Jesus Christ.  These emotions are real, but they are not of God.  We can faithfully tell others of God's love.  We can speak up for Jesus Christ at school.  The key to doing this is to remember that we are dead.  Galatians 2:20, "I am crucified with Christ...the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God..."  We live in His strength day by day and He will enable us to testify of Him!
