Our Scripture reading today is Luke 22:10-12.
Verse 12, "And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready."
The Lord Jesus gives clear instructions to his disciples about what they were going to find when they went to Jerusalem. Everything that they would need for the Passover meal would already be prepared. Jesus disciples simply needed to follow His instructions.
I am so thankful that everything is being prepared for us in Heaven. Jesus said in John 14, "I go to prepare a place for you." This place is being prepared for everyone who follows the simple instructions given also in John 14. Jesus said in verse 6, "I am the way...no man cometh unto the father, but by me." Religion and religious works are not the instructions Jesus taught for us to be Heaven some day. We read in John 10 that Jesus speaks of Himself as the door. Any sinner can be forgiven and given eternal life by following Jesus' instructions and entering through Him! Have you followed Jesus into eternal life? There is no other way.
