Our Scripture reading today is Revelation 2:2-3.
Verse 3, "And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted."
The church at Ephesus was known for being a church that laboured much for the LORD and did not give up in challenging times. I like how John writes that they laboured for the LORD's name. Their labour was not for the sake of the church but for the One Who started the church.
We should take note of and follow their example of serving the LORD. Every born again believer should have a place of service that brings honour and glory to Him. The best place to serve is within the local church. Take some time today to consider how and if you are serving the LORD. Are you investing in time or eternity?
