Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 100.
Verse 2, "Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing."
It is an honour to be saved and a servant of the LORD. Serving the LORD is not a burden, it is a great blessing. Is there something you are doing in service for the LORD? Every child of God was saved not just to go to Heaven. Every child of God was saved to serve the LORD with gladness. Ephesians 2:10, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
“As for the true believer in Jesus, he serves his God because he loves to serve him; he assembles with the great congregation because it is his delight to worship the Most High.” (Spurgeon)
