Our Scripture reading today is Luke 2:36-38.
Verse 38, "And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem."
We read this morning about a lady named, Anna. She was a remarkable lady in that she had suffered loss (she was a widow) and yet continued to faithfully serve and praise the Lord. Anna did not allow bitterness to keep her from being an example to others who had also gone through difficult times. She spoke often of the coming of the Saviour.
There isn't anyone reading this who has not suffered loss in some way. We have all gone through a challenging time that tested our faith and brought us to a place of questioning God and even bitterness. How we respond to these times is what we can control. As we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we too, can give thanks in every thing. We can continue to praise our loving Lord!
