Today's Scripture reading is 2 Timothy 1:16-18.
Verse 16, "The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:"
The Apostle Paul had in Onesiphorus what everyone needs from time to time. Onesiphorus refreshed Paul's spirit through fellowship, kindness and mercy. We can also take from this verse that Onesiphorus was a true friend to Paul. He did not abandon him when he was in prison. Paul is seeking the same in return for his family.
I am sure there are people in our circle of influence that need to be strengthened and encouraged from time to time. As God has and does encourage us, we should be a vessel of the same to others. In order to be a refresher, we must be intentional. Ask God to lead you to someone today who needs your kindness. You may not need to look too far.
