Purchased With His Own Blood

Today's Scripture reading is Acts 20:28-30.

Verse 28 - "...to feed the church of God which he hath purchased with this blood."

Jesus Christ paid a high price for the church!  In order to give His blood, He had to give His life.  This is an indicator of how valuable the church is to our God.  I am quite sure most of you would have said the church is valuable prior to these past 10 weeks. How many of our actions would have said the same thing?  How many Sundays were we willing to miss church for any other reason other than sickness?  And yes, this would include work.  You see, whatever has value in our lives, we will give ourselves wholly to it.  We will be faithful and dedicated to it.  Does the church have value?  I say, YES!
