Our Scripture reading today is Luke 2:11-14.
Verse 14, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."
The Prince of Peace had arrived in Bethlehem! Isaiah 9:6, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
What a choir in the sky it would have been to hear the angel and the heavenly host proclaiming His birth. The true and only source of peace is in a relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ. John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." This message of peace needs to be shared over and over again. There are many people living in fear who need the Prince of Peace to fill their lives with hope.
Thank you, Lord Jesus, for giving us Your PEACE!
