Our Scripture reading today is Luke 22:31-34.

Verse 32, "But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren."

Satan was not able to completely crush Peter because Jesus Christ was praying for him.  Jesus specifically prayed that Peter's faith would not fail.  Yes, Peter did deny the Lord Jesus three times, but he did repent and God used him to preach a powerful message at Pentecost.  His faith did not completely fail.

The Word of God encourages us as well that Jesus Christ is praying for us.  Hebrews 7:25, "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them."  Our Saviour is seated at the right hand of His Father.  He is faithfully making intercession on our behalf.  I am quite sure there have been many times when we have been on the brink of failure and Jesus' prayers kept us on the right path.  Praise Him today!
