Today's Scripture reading is Psalm 32:5-7.
Verse 7, "Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah."
We all understand how quickly trouble can come into our lives. When everything seemed to be moving along just fine and then all of that changes. Our God is well aware of these troubles that come upon us as He has allowed them into our lives for His glory and our good. By the way, troubles do come, but they also do go. There is a time and a season for everything.
The last statement of verse 7 is one of great encouragement. We are surrounded by songs of deliverance. This means that no matter what direction we look, we can see many purposes for praise. The psalmist says God has compassed us about with reasons to rejoice! As someone who is born again of the Spirit of God, on your worst day, you are on your way to Heaven! Hallelujah! For the most part, we all have several options in the kitchen for breakfast, lunch and supper. I am saying we are surrounded by songs of deliverance.
Sing praises to His name today! He is worthy of our praise!
