Our Scripture reading today is Luke 2:10-14.
Verse 13, "And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,"
What a night! What a story for these shepherds to tell their family as well as future generations to tell their families. The night sky lit up with not just one angel but an entire host of angels from heaven show up to praise almighty God. Take a quick moment and try to imagine what that must have looked like.
We have an opportunity every day that God gives us breath to bring Him glory and this sinful world, peace. I say opportunity, because the choice is up to us. Unfortunately, far too many Christians are caught up in self glory and have no time to offer peace to anyone. While it is true that we have no peace in and of ourselves to give. We do have His peace and it passes all understanding. We do have the Gospel which allows man to have peace with God. Romans 5:1, "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:"
Are we actively delivering God's message of peace? Are we more concerned with our glory than His?
