Our Scripture reading today is Romans 8:31-34.
Verse 34, "Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us."
The accuser of the brethren (Satan) goes before God making accusations against God's children. Jesus Christ is there to be our advocate. He is presenting our requests to God and looking after our interests. He is there as our defense attorney. 1 John 2:1, "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:" Jesus Christ holds out His nail pierced hands to Satan and says we are not guilty based on His sinless sacrifice. Our Heavenly Father has acquitted us and removed our sin and guilt. There is no need for us to live in fear and failure. Our Saviour, Jesus Christ is making perpetual intercession before God for us! Praise His holy name!
Have a blessed day.
