Our Scripture reading today is Ephesians 1:4-6.
Verse 4, "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:"
Biblical salvation has been and always will be found in Jesus Christ. This was God's plan before the foundation of the world. I will admit that is difficult to wrap my finite mind around. The difficult part being that God knew about His plan of redemption before the worlds were even formed. I am reminded..."For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD." Isaiah 55:8
What we do know is that God saved us to live differently than before we were in Him. Once we are saved, we have the power to live holy and without blame. 1 Corinthians 10:13, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." My thoughts, actions, and words should be honouring to the Lord. Our life is a sermon in shoes. What kind of sermon are you preaching?
