Our Scripture reading today is Luke 1:45, "And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord."
Elisabeth declares that Mary's faith was crucial to her be chosen to carry the baby Jesus. We know that Jesus was placed in the womb of Mary by the Holy Ghost. Jesus did not have an earthly father, but He did have a godly, earthly mother. Elisabeth recognized that Mary was a woman of faith and the message she received from the Lord would be fulfilled in her life.
Do you believe that God is still at work in your life? Do you believe that God has a specific plan for your life? He has a plan for you as much as He had a plan for Mary and Elisabeth. God can be trusted with your life.
