Our Scripture reading today is Luke 22:42-44.
Verse 42, "Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done."
If there ever was a verse that teaches us about full surrender, this is the one. The Son of God yielded to God the Father. God's wrath filled cup was about to be poured out on His only begotten Son. Jesus Christ willing went to the cross and drank of that bitter cup.
I wonder if there is something in your life or mine that needs to be given to God? We need to be surrendered to His will for our lives. There is no better place to be than in the will of God. It may not be an easy place but it will be the best place. There are certain desires that I have had to surrender to God and I am sure there will be many more. His will...His will, we must do!
