Our Scripture reading today is Luke 19:35-37.
Verse 37, "And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;"
A great celebration of praise and thanksgiving to God was taking place for all the miracles Jesus Christ had done. The spreading of their clothes in the way was a common expression of joy at different festivals. No doubt, it was a joyful and happy scene as Jesus approached Jerusalem.
As we learned yesterday, we should daily celebrate the goodness of our God. He continues to daily load us with benefits. The psalmist ends chapter 150 with these words, "Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD." The apostle Paul wrote from prison, "Rejoice in the Lord alway; and again I say, Rejoice." Philippians 4:4
Take a moment to praise Him!!
