Our Scripture reading is Acts 10:33-35.
Verse 34, "...he that feareth him..."
In the lives of many born again believers, the fear of God is in need of revival. The definition for the word fearethin our text is to reverence, venerate, to treat with deference or reverential obedience. Our fear of God can be measured by our obedience to His Word. If we were to consider the fuel tank on an automobile, just how full is your Fear Tank? Please know that the fear of God does not cause us to run from Him, in fact it causes us to run to Him. My obedience to His Word must come from a heat over flowing with love for Him. Our devotional for today is simple math: love + obedience = fear.
