Our Scripture reading today is Genesis 13:14-17.
Verse 15, "For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever."
God promised Abram this land back in Genesis 12:1-3. This was a reminder to the childless Abram that God was going to not only provide him with this land, but that a family was on the way. What God said to Abram did not make sense logically. What seed was God talking about? He was somewhere between 70-80 years old and had no children. Abram believed God and walked by faith.
This is a wonderful reminder that logic and God do not need to agree. God is all powerful and will perform His will whether it is logical or not. The impossible situations that come into our lives are only impossible to us. The plan of salvation was not only to allow us to have an eternal home in Heaven, but to daily provide us with many other spiritual blessings. His promises are sure and will be fulfilled in His time. Choose today to set fear aside and walk by faith!
