Our Scripture reading today is Luke 8:23-24.
Verse 24, "And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm."
This chapter of Scripture was in my Bible reading earlier today and then these verses show up in the devotional book we are working through this year. We must take time to consider what God is teaching or revealing to us.
The disciples had already been told they were going to the other side of the sea and yet the storm caused them to doubt the words of Jesus . I am quite sure that most of us can relate to what the disciples were going through. They had Jesus with them and we have God's Spirit with us and yet both of us fear when the storms of life come.
May today be a day of greater faith that God will either calm the storm or He will calm us. He is faithful and will never fail!
