Our Scripture reading today is James 1:17, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."
God has instructed to give. Luke 6:38, "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." God also showed us how to give by His example. Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Whether it is December or March, may we have a spirit of giving for the glory of God. Our priority should be giving back to God. He has given us the life we have and we ought to live it in such a way that we are giving of ourselves back to Him. All that we are and have is because of our giving God!
