Our Scripture reading today is Job 1:20, "Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,"
How would you have responded to all that Job went through? Would you have been able to worship God in spite of losing everything? We learn from Job that worship should be given to God whether we have much or little. Job was able to glorify God even though he was going through great loss.
“Surely it has not come to this among God’s people, that He must do as we like, or else we will not praise Him. If He does not please us every day, and give way to our whims, and gratify our tastes, then we will not praise Him.” (Spurgeon)
We can and should praise the Lord every day. Psalm 113:3, "From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised."
