Our Scripture reading today is 2 John 8, "Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward."
We are receiving a challenge from the apostle John to stay faithful to the LORD until He returns or calls us Home. I am greatly concerned for many people I know who have walked away from the truth they've been given. There are undoubtably a good number of them who are not even saved. I pray they will truly turn to Christ and be saved before it is eternally too late.
There are others who are saved and yet they are not living for the Lord. We all need to examine ourselves and see if we need to get something right with God and stop wasting the life He gave us. It is not necessary to live for the Lord to get saved or stay saved. Living for the Lord should come from a heart of love and thanksgiving for what He's provided us. The salvation we received is completely by God's grace. The least we can do is live our lives faithfully for His glory and honour.
