Our Scripture reading today is 2 Timothy 1:5, "When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also."
 
The genuine faith of Timothy's family members was good, but it would not be enough for Timothy.  He would need his own genuine faith.  We ought to be thankful for family and friends that have set an example for us to follow, but their faith is their faith.  We can pass on an eternal legacy but it must be received.  I am truly thankful for so many who have invested in my life.  May God lead us to pass on the eternal legacy that was given to us and pray for those whom we have influence over.
