Good Morning,

Our Scripture reading today is James 5:16, "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

I find it interesting that today's verse follows a challenge I received yesterday to re-read a book by Dr. John R. Rice entitled, "Prayer: Asking and Receiving." I read this book over 30 years ago while in Bible college.  God may not be speaking to anyone else about this matter, but I know He is reminding me of the importance of effectual and fervent prayer.  We have access to God through Jesus Christ.  His shed blood provides us with so much more than entrance into Heaven one day.  There is entrance to all of God's children into the holy of holies through the blood of Jesus Christ.  Go humbly and go boldly in the name of Jesus Christ!

“When such a power of prayer is granted, faith should be immediately called into exercise, that the blessing may be given: the spirit of prayer is the proof that the power of God is present to heal.” (Clarke)
