Good Morning,

Our Scripture reading today is Matthew 21:22, "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."

The emphasis of prayer continues from Sunday morning's Bible message.  The promise is not for some things but for "all things".  May God help us not to just pray but to pray believing.  Is God able to answer your prayers?  Is anything too hard for the LORD?  The Creator God wants to meet our needs and He gives us the instructions to follow for this to be a reality.

Did You Think to Pray?

1 Ere you left your room this morning,
Did you think to pray?
In the name of Christ our Saviour,
Did you sue for loving favour,
As a shield today?

Chorus:
O how praying rests the weary!
Prayer will change the night to day;
So when life seems dark and dreary,
Don't forget to pray.

2 When you met with great temptation,
Did you think to pray?
By His dying love and merit,
Did you claim the Holy Spirit
As your guide and stay? (Chorus)

3 When your heart was filled with anger,
Did you think to pray?
Did you plead for grace, my brother,
That you might forgive another
Who had crossed your way? (Chorus)

4 When sore trials came upon you,
Did you think to pray?
When your soul was bowed in sorrow,
Balm of Gilead did you borrow
At the gates of day? (Chorus)

Your friend,
Pastor
