Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 34:1, "I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth."
There are so many reasons we have to praise the LORD. We normally think of praising Him for the blessings He sends our way and we should. The psalmist says our praise for Him should continually be in our mouth. This would mean that we are to praise Him for the challenging and frustrating time too. His allows certain things into our lives to remind us of our dependence on Him. The blessings and the burdens deserve our continual praise!
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heav’nly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!
