Our Scripture reading today is Ephesians 5:11-14.
Verse 13, "But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light."
The closer we come to the coming of the Lord Jesus, the more we will hear about the "dark" days. We will not only hear about them, but we will witness them as well. This darkness is not referring to literal darkness, but a spiritual mindset growing darker and darker. The Apostle Paul speaks of the importance of believers living in the Light. The closer we are to the Light (Lord Jesus), the more the things of the world, the flesh, and the devil will be made known ("manifest") to us. In addition, the light of God's glorious Gospel that shines in and through us will be a help to lead those in darkness to come to the Light and be saved. God's people must continue to Send the Light from shore to shore!
