Our Scripture reading today is 1 Corinthians 13:4, "Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up."
We learn to love properly by the example of the Lord Jesus. His love for us is described clearly in the 1 Corinthians 13. If Christ love is flowing threw us, we will love those who are challenging to love. We have all been challenging to love at times. Christ' love suffers long. "The ancient preacher John Chrysostom said this is the word used of the man who is wronged, and who easily has the power to avenge himself, but will not do it out of mercy and patience. Do you avenge yourself as soon as you have the opportunity?"
Be thankful that God's love for you is unchanging!
