Our Scripture reading today is 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your care upon him; for  he careth for you."

The word, "casting", carries with it an aggressiveness.  It means we are to throw all of our cares away.  Easier said than done eh?  We could go back to Sunday mornings message and say, "Leave all the cares and details with God."  Our loving heavenly Father is more than capable of taking care of all the cares and concerns of His children.  Our responsibility is by faith casting all of them on Him.  “Prayer tells God what the care is, and asks God to help, while faith believes that God can and will do it. Prayer spreads the letter of trouble and grief before the Lord, and opens all its budget, and then faith cries, ‘I believe that God cares, and cares for me; I believe that he will bring me out of my distress, and make it promote his own glory.’” (Spurgeon)
