Today’s Scripture reading is Genesis 39:21-23.
Verse 23, "The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand;"
The life of Joseph could be described by what it is like riding a roller coaster. There were ups and downs as well as turns to the right and turns to the left. God had a perfect plan for Jospeh and was with him all the way. From these verses of Scripture, we find that Joseph was a man who could be trusted. He had worked his way up in the prison and the keeper of the prison did not even need to check on Joseph's work. The keeper of the prison knew Joseph was a man of his word and that he would get the job done. Can the same be said about you and me? Can our word be trusted? If the answer is yes to both of these questions, it is because we are relying on the Lord Jesus to help us day by day. It is impossible to be trustworthy without relying on the Lord's help. We must not overlook the last part of verse 23..."because the LORD was with him."
