Our Scripture reading today is Jeremiah 29:11-14. 
Verse 12, "Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I WILL hearken unto you."
We find a wonderful promise that can be claimed from the time of Jeremiah until the Lord Jesus returns. The creator God will hear our prayers. In fact, He asks us to call on Him in chapter 33 and verse 3. "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."
Like many promises, we must activate them. In this case, we call and pray and then God will hearken. The word, hearken, means to pay attention to what is being said. God pays attention to our prayers!!
