Our Scripture reading today is Luke 16:5-7.

Verse 6, "And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty."

The steward that was unfaithful continues his journey back into favour with his master by making friends of those who owed his master.  These people all owed his master and he quickly figured out a way to generate some "income" for his master.  It obviously won their hearts and as we will see tomorrow, it also won over his master's heart.

What can we take from this for our day?  A truth that came to mind was seeking to build a friendship that is leading to an opportunity to share the Gospel.  People will not care about what we know until they know that we care.  We all have friends that are not saved, but they should all know that we are followers of Jesus Christ.  They should see Jesus in how we live our lives in front of them.  Our walk speaks very loud and it must not lead someone away from the truth.
