Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 103:1-5.
Verse 4, "Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;"
It matters not how much wealth someone has as to whether or not they will go to Heaven. We are all born headed for destruction. The sin nature we inherited and the sin we willingly commit carry a price tag of death. Romans 5:12, "...and so death passed upon ALL men for that ALL have sinned." Death in Hell is the end result of a life of sin that has not been redeemed.
God in His mercy and grace provided sinners all the means necessary to escape the destruction of sin and be robed in His righteousness. His mercy does not give us what we truly deserve and His grace does give us what we do not deserve. There are numerous other reasons why we should daily and throughout the day be blessing the LORD. The word "bless" means to praise with a strong sense of gratitude. The verses we read this morning are a great reminder that we have been loaded with benefits and blessings. All that is within us should give Him praise and glory.
