Our Scripture reading today is Matthew 28:5-7.
Verse 6, "He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."
The glorious message of each and every Sunday morning and evening is, "He LIVES!" We continue to gather together on the first day of the week over two thousand years after Jesus Christ's resurrection to celebrate what the ladies discovered that morning. The tomb was empty and Jesus Christ was alive. His tomb is still empty and He is still alive!
It is very important for every child of God to be a part of a local assembly of Bible believing Christians. We are given clear instructions to assemble on a regular basis and to do it more as we see the return of Christ coming. Hebrews 10:25, "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." Far too many professing Christians have yet to make it back to church since March 2020. By making it back to church, I am referring to assembling with other believers. This assembling is not my idea, nor has it been any other pastors idea. It is God idea and plan for His children.
If you are reading this today and are not assembling with other Bible believing Christians, I would like to encourage you to get back into or start attending church this Sunday. Don't allow the enemy to have another Sunday. If you need help finding a Bible preaching church in your area, please reach out to me at anchorbaptistburnaby@gmail.com.
