Our Scripture reading today is Amos 4:12-13.
Verse 13, "For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name."
The first thought that came to mind when I read this verse was, "What a MIGHTY God we serve!" He is the creator God. Psalm 89:11, "The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them." He is sovereign God over man. He is God over nature and Who rules over all. Our God spoke the world into existence and He continues to sustain it today. There isn't anything our God cannot do! He is almighty God!!
In comparison to God, we are so insignificant. We are fallible and He is infallible. We are weak and He is strong. The list could go on and on. In spite of these and many other comparisons, God loves us and made the preparations for us to meet Him one day. We can meet Him justified through His Son, Jesus Christ. Are you ready to meet Him? Is your family ready to meet Him? May we praise Him for the preparations He made and may we preach the message to those who are not ready to meet Him.
