Our Scripture reading today is 1 John 2:15-17.
Verse 17, "And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."
The impact we have on this earth will either be one that passes away or one that continues on long after our passing. Those who live in the ways and wishes of this world will do little to nothing to impact eternity. The world and it's will pass away. However, those who strive to do the will of our Heavenly Father will leave a footprint on time for the glory of God.
There is great value when we live each day in His will. While we are not promised an easy road; we are promised a peace that cannot be explained. His love is unconditional and need not be earned. His grace is always sufficient and His mercy is new every morning. When we are walking in His will, it will be evident that God is always near. His Spriit will continue to guide us into all truth. His Spirit will enable us to pass on this truth to those whom we influence.
