Today's Scripture reading is 2 Corinthians 5:18-20.
Verse 20, "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ..."
According to the dictionary, an Ambassador is a diplomatic official of the highest rank, sent by one sovereign or state to another as its resident representative. In light of 2 Corinthians 5:20, the dictionary definition for ambassador spells it out very clearly. Our Sovereign God has saved us and we are His representatives. We are already "residents" of Heaven with a message from the Creator God! Let that sink in for a moment. God is asking little old me to be His ambassador and He is asking each of His children to do the same.
How are we doing at delivering the message from our King? In case you are not following me, the message we are to deliver is the Gospel. We are to tell family, friends and even strangers about our loving King. God calls on His children to communicate the life changing message of salvation.
