Our Scripture reading today is Proverbs 15:3, "The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good."
The God of the Bible is all knowing.  The theological word we use for this is omniscient.  It might seem like people are getting away with evil, but that is simply not the case.  It may also appear like others are not being blessed by their obedience.  As if God missed the service you did for Him last week.  God has the best sight you can imagine.  He not only sees the surface, He sees the heart.  “The word employed describes a very active and purposeful seeing. The statement is far more than that God sees; it is that He is investigating, observing…. He is keeping watch upon the evil. It is never out of His sight. It loves the darkness rather than the light, but He sees as well in the darkness as in the light.” (Morgan)
The God of the Bible is just.  He always does what is right.  There will be a "reward" for the evil and for the good.  Psalm 66:7, "He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah."  Our Christian life should be lived with a motive of love for God as well as a desire to please God in all we say and do.  He is watching and never misses anything.
