Our Scripture reading today is Joshua 1:1-3.
Verse 2, "Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel."
The leader of the children of Israel for 40 years has died and God says keep moving forward. The land that I have promised you is yours for the taking. This is not quitting time, but advancing time.
As I read these verses this morning, I was challenged to arise and move forward. Much of 2020 has not worked out like I planned. Whether it be in relation to my personal family or our Anchor Baptist family, there are too many things to list. This fact however, is no reason for any of God's children to quit. This is the time to rise up and move forward by faith. God has promises for each of us that are waiting to be claimed. God has perfect will for your life and mine and 2020 is part of it. We must remember to rejoice!
Psalm 118:24, "This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it."
