Our Scripture reading today is Romans 8:28-29.
Verse 29, "For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren."
When we accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour it was not the end of a relationship. It was the very beginning of a relationship with God. Because we were adopted into His family, we should be looking more like and acting more like Jesus Christ every day. God is working in us in the person of the Holy Spirit. As the Spirit moves in our lives, we are to yield to whatever way and work He wants us to do. God's Spirit working in and through us will make us more like God's Son.
It is a blessing and encouragement that the growth process is not all up to us. Philippians 1:6, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"
